                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Shoes are the most important support for our bodies as we walk, hike, run our way to a physically fit body. We need shoes that fit what we are doing and what weather we are doing it in. A shoe arch insert that supports your arch and ankle is what you should find first. I find runner’s shops are the most helpful in this. Once you have chosen that, its time for shoes. I have so many shoes, for wet conditions, dry, snow, walking, mountain, street. each is different, each does a different function. My street shoes are soft foam to absorb impact on a hard surface, where my mountain shoes are high top, waterproof, with ankle support, and protection, with aggressive sols to grip the surface. We can guide you to a few that we like and I am constantly researching for better ones that fill my activities. I like Hoka for street shoes, Bates for mountain, snowshoeing and basic hiking. Saucony shoes for trail running, so you see each shoe has a function for each activity. you don’t have to invest in lots of shoes however, I took the Hoka shoes to Machu Picchu anticipating lots of rocks and water on the four-day hike, I was surprised at their grip on the rocks and it rained on us one whole day and my feet stayed dry, so these would be a great one pair shoe for all activities. Just remember support and comfort are still the key.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Activity is key to a physically fit body as we age and keeping hydrated with the Dyln alkaline water bottle helps in recovery. Another water purifier we use is the Turapur Hydrogen water pitcher.
